WHERE WE STARTED

WHERE WE STARTED

We are incredibly blessed that over 30 years ago someone with kingdom foresight and a heart for Jesus sacrificially invested in 10 acres of property that we now call home.

After answering God’s call to move to Jacksonville in December of 2000, Pastors Wayne and Virginia Bauer officially started Faith Community Church in March 2004.  After spells meeting in hotels and schools they finally broke ground on the building we call FCC in February 2008 with the first Sunday worship gathering occurring in September 2008.

"From the very beginning of Faith Community Church, we felt a calling to be a church that serves our community, not only with our hands and our feet, but with our building and our grounds."
Pastor Wayne

COMMUNITY CENTER

With that in mind, as well as a church building, we operate as a community center during the week.  Our facility was intentionally designed to be multi-functional in order to facilitate many types of events and groups.  We host around 20 community groups every week, mainly free of charge.

God has richly blessed us, allowing us to be a part of his restoration plans for St. Johns county.  We have seen people’s lives completely turned around, marriages restored, complete healing, both physically and emotionally.  We have seen people without family, find a place to belong in a loving community.    We have gotten to be part of people’s stories through marriages, child dedications, believers baptisms and church membership.  We have also been able to stand alongside those who were grieving, hurting and depressed.
